Expression of Interest ApplicationGFG Alliance Graduate Development Program (GDP)
Throughout the 2-year program, you will build technical and commercial skills and learn from experienced peers. You will receive continuous coaching and development individually, in the business and with other graduates as a group.
Onboarding and Induction

* Graduate Professional Development events/workshops are designed to bring together all graduates within the business to build soft skills and capabilities.
Workshops include but not limited to:
- Building self-awareness
- Communication skills
- Managing conflict
- Working with different styles effectively
- Personal responsibility and accountability
- Giving and receiving feedback
Support Network
Organisational Development / Pipelines Team
Members of the OD/Pipelines team play a significant role in the support and experience of graduates, the education and support of managers and the coordination of the program within our organisation. This includes:
- First point of contact for graduates, managers, and mentors
- Educating managers, mentors and relevant stakeholders about the program structure and their responsibilities
- Managing business commitment to the following year’s program, coordinating graduate selections and role offers
- Facilitating the deployment of eligible graduates into permanent roles on successful completion of the 2-year program, depending on business requirements and availability of vacancies
- Attending the program welcome event for Vacation Students and Graduates
- Ensuring that graduates and managers adhere to the discipline plan and graduates are being set up for success
- Keeping in regular contact with graduates between when offers are made and when they commence
- Regularly meet with graduates throughout the first 12 months of the program to discuss settling into the position.
- Feedback sessions at 6 monthly intervals with graduates and managers to discuss performance and experiences.
Line/Placement Managers
Managers play a critical role in the experience, well-being, and development of the graduate. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that graduates are onboarded and set up to start work on day one of their placement
- Supporting the graduate with current knowledge of the program structure
- Assigning meaningful and challenging work that supports the graduate’s development and discipline-related activities
- Setting performance and development goals and providing feedback, coaching and support to ensure the graduate is set up for success and remains on track with their performance
- Supporting the graduate to complete their technical workshop/s and having regular discussions to check on their progress
Program Completion
At the end of the 2-year program, to be eligible to be deployed into a vacant permanent role, graduates must:
- have met our performance and potential standards
- have consistently exhibited behaviours and work ethic in line with business values and policies
