GFG Alliance continues to roll out its talent identification and leadership training programs including the ground-breaking Women in Leadership initiative with two pilot programs for LIBERTY Primary Metals Australia (LPMA) employees.

Fifteen LPMA employees took part in the Xplore pilot program that started in May. This program will run over four months with eight scheduled sessions.

Discover, the second Women in Leadership pilot program, that also kicked off in May, with another ten employees taking part in four workshops and four one-on-one sessions.

Executive General Manager Human Resources LPMA, Clinton Gill said the focus was on identifying talent, both female and male, across the LPMA business with this program’s focus on women in leadership roles.

The programs focus on inclusivity and how LPMA can support its female talent and provide opportunity to help attract, engage and retain a diverse workforce. Both programs are facilitated by Xplore for Success, a consultative company that specialises in driving inclusion and equity.

“We have a great opportunity to engage with Xplore, a well-known leadership development organisation, to support capability development for our female talent across LPMA,” Clinton said.

“The Xplore program enables and encourages people to be at their best as individuals and as leaders, to increase participant self-awareness and develop insights into individual strengths and development needs.

“The Discover program will empower and enable our senior talent to be at their best, discover and develop their strengths, expand their inclusive leadership, drive their career advancement and embrace their personal success.”

CEO of Xplore for Success, Amanda Webb said it was a pleasure to now be facilitating the two programs for LPMA.

“At Xplore we are all about partnering with organisations who are committed to improving gender equity and developing their people. We are delighted to be on this journey with GFG,” Amanda said.

“We understand the commitment that GFG is making, and we know first-hand that investing in female talent shifts the dial on an organisation’s capability, success and sustainability.

Following the pilot programs, both Xplore and Discover will be further rolled out across LPMA to include and embrace more female employees.
