Applying for community support and sponsorship

The GFG Alliance Community Support and Sponsorship Program has been operating for over 20 years and over that time has established a number of long-term partnerships and funding arrangements resulting in meaningful outcomes in our communities.

Some examples of these partnerships include Foodbank SA, The Smith Family and Whyalla Christmas Pageant and Carols events.

The five (5) key funding categories of the community support program are:

  • Support for Disadvantaged in the Community
  • Support for Education and Learning
  • Support for Youth Development
    • Youth (Arts)
    • Youth (Sports)
    • Youth (Development)
  • Support for Major Community Events
  • Support for the Indigenous Community
  • Support for Diversity and Inclusion

Applications are received in two (2) funding rounds each year in September and March.  A call for applications is made in the preceding month for consideration.

Applications are assessed in accordance with the ability of the application to meet GFG Alliance’s sponsorship criteria, and available funds are allocated to the programs that best fit these criteria.
