Late last year, the procurement process was completed on transhipment operations and harbour towage services at the Port of Whyalla
Engage Marine was awarded the contract by our transhipment provider CSL Australia and since then, all five tugs from Engage Marine have arrived in Whyalla and commissioned safely.
The mobilisation of these bigger and higher rated tugs will safely move the Floating Offshore Transfer Barge (FOTB) and Self-Unloading Barges (SUBs) thus allowing the loading of iron ore onto ocean going vessels at the transhipment point.
